a week traveling by horse

It’s very interesting and pleasurable a life in contact with nature and animals.
The horse is a very special animal because of its power, beauty, and the long history together with the human’s history.
I enjoy very much traveling by horse and suggest you to try, it’s a particular experience.
It’s important to make a detailed plane, thinking in the routes, the time of riding, the stops to rest, the food supply, water and other kinds of drinks, and a place where we could sleep at night.
It’s necessary to keep a team standing by with a car (caring all supplies, medicines, etc), and a truck with the step horses.
We can’t forget the animals, they are not machines. Our pleasure and safety depends on the health of them, whose enjoy the travel too, but are caring us in their back; they get tired too during the trip and need to rest time to time. We must offer water time to time and feed them correctly. If we respect these rules we will win a partner in our travel.
I suggest starting with a small distance travel like crossing Ilha Bella’s mountain to reach Castelliano’s beach in the open sea side of the island.
It’s a wonderful experience trough 27km of natural forest (Mata Atlântica), where we can see many different plants, birds and falls, and feels it in a direct contact.
Very interesting is the horses behavior that seem to have the same curiosity and feel as us in a so near nature contact.
Just before getting at the beach there is a large river that we must cross with the horses while the water gets our foot wet.
When finally we get there, we will find a very beautiful and isolated beach. The horses frequently start to run faster and faster and try to understand what is that big, strong, and salted water (like mineiros in their first time in a beach). So both of them, man and horse, could have a good time enjoying this nature gift called Castelliano’s beach.
